KDLM is composed of five attorney partners and five attorney associates. The firm’s legal expertise is supported with an in-house medical adviser, a legal nurse consultant, as well as paralegal and support personnel. The firm’s small size, specialty focus and team approach translate into highly personalized attorney-client relationships. Principal attorneys take a lead role in the vast majority of cases.

JOHN BEATTY
Associate
John graduated magna cum laude from the City University of New York. He was selected by the Police Commissioner as the Department’s sole recipient of the Harvard University Government Masters program fellowship. Upon graduation from Harvard, John returned to the NYPD and attended Fordham Law School where he graduated with honors.
John is admitted to practice law in State and Federal Courts in New York and Massachusetts.

JOHN CAGNEY
Associate
John Cagney graduated cum laude from Boston College in 2002. He received his law degree from Fordham Law School in 2009. John is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and is a member of the ABA and New York Bar Association.
Before joining Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore as an associate, John spent six years as a trial assistant to Tom Moore. In this capacity, John worked extensively on medical malpractice and wrongful death cases.

ROBERT FUTTERMAN
Associate
Robert Futterman has over thirty years of experience in medical malpractice litigation. During his career, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and has unique insight into the way in which KDLM’s adversaries prepare to defend our claims. Each year, Mr. Futterman represents dozens of our clients at their Examinations Before Trial. He also conducts numerous depositions of defendant physicians each year and appears regularly in Court to manage cases through the discovery process.
Robert Futterman is admitted to the New York State Bar and to the Federal Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and is a member of the America Association for Justice and the New York State Bar. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester (B.A.) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D.).

YVETTE KING
Associate
Yvette King earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of Law and received her LL.M. from the University of London.
Ms. King has been admitted to the bars of the States of New York and New Jersey, and to the Federal Courts in the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York and in the District of Connecticut.
She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers’ Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association.

JORDAN MERSON
Associate
As an associate of KDLM, Jordan Merson represents children and adults who have been injured or wrongfully died as a result of medical malpractice. Mr. Merson also represents individuals who have been injured due to defective or unsafe products or other negligence.
Mr. Merson received his juris doctor from Fordham University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University. Mr. Merson is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the labor and employment section of the bar of Washington, D.C.
