The People

KDLM is composed of five attorney partners and five attorney associates. The firm’s legal expertise is supported with an in-house medical adviser, a legal nurse consultant, as well as paralegal and support personnel. The firm’s small size, specialty focus and team approach translate into highly personalized attorney-client relationships. Principal attorneys take a lead role in the vast majority of cases.

THOMAS A. MOORE
Senior Partner

In Moore’s career as KDLM’s senior partner, large awards have gained him a reputation as the most successful trial attorney in the U.S., as well as the National Law Journal’s Lawyer of the Year honor, not just once, but twice. To date, he has had 85 verdicts in excess of $1 million, and has settled hundreds of cases for multiple millions of dollars each.

MATTHEW GAIER
Partner

At a law firm of KDLM’s size, Matt Gaier’s ability to devote the vast majority of his time to appellate work, writing briefs and arguing appeals, translates directly into the firm’s prominent success at the appellate level.

Gaier argued Desiderio v. New York Hospital (tried to verdict by Tom Moore) in the State’s highest court, the New York State Court of Appeals, which upheld the largest judgment ever to a single plaintiff in the history of the State - $28.9 milli ...[Read More]

THOMAS PRINCIPE
Partner

Tom Principe’s background as a defense attorney, where in those days he squared off more than once against fellow partner Tom Moore, now serves him well in conducting KDLM’s examinations before trial. His depositions form the discovery of the defense’s claims. He is painstakingly thorough in his approach, sifting through and examining medical records and transcriptions for information to aide in his client’s defense.

His commitment to law carries over into his private life. A Brig ...[Read More]
