THOMAS A. MOORE
Senior Partner

In Moore’s career as KDLM’s senior partner, large awards have gained him a reputation as the most successful trial attorney in the U.S., as well as the National Law Journal’s Lawyer of the Year honor, not just once, but twice. To date, he has had 85 verdicts in excess of $1 million, and has settled hundreds of cases for multiple millions of dollars each.

Moore’s success offsets, but does not mitigate, the obvious sadness of the cases he tries. The large awards are personally satisfying for what they bring to plaintiffs – answers to what really happened and the justice they deserve. The fact that he is able to win nine times out of 10 is more than significant. Defendants typically win four out of five cases.

Moore’s career encompasses advocacy, research, writing and charitable work, like setting up scholarships at his alma maters, as well as an endowed chair in Trial Advocacy at Fordham Law School.

He lectures frequently for various lawyers’ groups and other professional organizations all across the country. Along with his wife and partner, Judy Livingston, he is also a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates (an elite group of the top 100 trial attorneys in the country), a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the International Society of Barristers. Mr. Moore has been cited by New York magazine as well as SuperLawyers magazine as one of the best lawyers in New York and has been repeatedly listed in Dragonlaw as one of the top 500 lawyers in the country. His triple malpractice verdict for $121.5 million is recorded as one of the top ten verdicts of 2012 in Lawyers USA. In addition, he is listed in the book "The Best Lawyers in America" published by Woodward White.

Tom Moore graduated from Catholic University, Washington, D.C., with an S.T.L. degree in 1968 and from Fordham Law School in 1972, with a J.D. degree.
